Next iPhone 4G HD Set to Debut on June 2011 – Report

This is indeed a flipper! International Business Times is reporting that the next-generation is expected to be launched on June 2011 and not in 2010. Foxconn, Apple’s strategic partner with its has also proclaimed June of 2011 as the expected launch date of the iPhone 4G / HD. Earlier it was rumored that Apple might unveil the next generation iPhone 4G either at WWDC which begins on June 7th or at Yerba Buena Center for Arts on June 22nd.

Report says, Apple and Steve Jobs would like to prefer to keep their focus on iPad making its availability on time. We have seen earlier, as soon as the iPad hit the shelves or up for grabs on pre-orders, they devices are sold out in no time. Apple is indeed failing in filling up the customer demand for iPad. Apple would like to mass produce iPhone 4G in order to cater with the rising demand about Apple products and the recent iPhone 4G prototype leak has indeed provided free marketing to Apple.

Even the iPhone 4G leak has provided useful feedback to Apple, which can be further used to improve upon the UI and design as well. In addition to that, It is also being rumored that iPhone 4G will be operating on 4G network like EVO 4G. We all know that status quo of AT&T is not good and a one year time frame will provide wireless network provider(s) a chance to improve upon their network and 4G speeds, which will be a huge factor in the iPhone 4G success. Even the iPhone OS 4.0 which would be riding on iPhone 4G is not completely stable, bolstering our doubt on it’s June 2010 release.

But inspite of report by ibtimes (which is nothing more that speculations), we are pretty sure that the fourth-gen iPhone 4G will be released in June 2010 only. Any opinion or thought?

White iPhone This Spring June 2011
The news surrounding the new upcoming Apple iPhone 5 and its release date is getting very hot under the collar to say the least and if all true a June release date is looking good.
The Motley Fool on MSNBC is reporting that the iPhone 5 will be available from June 20, 2011. We all know that the white iPhone 4 is releasing June 20th and Apple Marketing Phil Schiller verified this via Twitter. Now the question is will they release the white iPhone 4 or a new iPhone 5? Just a simple question we felt we should ask.
Apparently the iPhone 5 will come to Market June 20, we all know that Apple WILL NOT release at the white iPhone 4 and the iPhone 5 at the same time and considering Apple always releases a new iPhone in June we are suspecting it will be a new smartphone and not just a new colour, we could be wrong but we are only going on past releases.
Looking at other news covering the new iPhone 5 comes via MacRumors by way of China Times Reports (via GadgetsDNA) showing new photos of the metal chassis, MacRumors titled it article “iPhone 5 Due in Q3, 4-Inch Screen, Metal Chassis?”
China Times Reports the metal chassis and suggests that this new metal rim will help with signal as it will be the main antenna sensitivity, it will also be a 4-inch touchscreen smartphone. It is looking like the iPhone 5 will look like the iPhone 4 so not much in the way of design change here.

The Apple iPhone 5 may also support both GSM and CDMA networks just like the Verizon iPhone as we know this works.

Samsung Galaxy S2 I9200

When the Samsung Galaxy S has yet to launch in the USA, there are already rumors, Samsung will be more updated and feature-filled bigger brother to the Galaxy S called the Galaxy S2. The Samsung Galaxy S is a fantastic smartphone that has not long been out. the Galaxy S I9200 smartphone has a super-slim form factor and massive 4.3-inch screen with a super resolution of 1280×720 – which would make it the most pixel-packed mobile on the market.

The new Samsung Galaxy S2 I9200 seems to be a real iPhone 4 competitor and, from the looks of it, the new Galaxy version will be the hottest Android phone in town. the Samsung Galaxy S2 will feature a 2GHz processor,1 GB RAM and 4 GB ROM and will come with Google Android 3.0 Gingerbread. Other rumored specifications include a 32GB of built in storage, plus a microSD card slot with a 32GB card and an 8 megapixel camera with the ability to record FullHD video in 1080p.

The Galaxy S2 is said to sport a big 4.3 inch 1280×720 Super AMOLED display giving it around 340 pixel per inch, certainly comparable to Apple’s Retina Display and also will be come with a Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi b/g/n, GPS, a gryoscope, an accelerometer, proximity and ambient light sensors thrown in for good measure.

There’s no way to confirm all of the above at this point but we can assume that most Android smartphone manufacturers will have similar devices at some point in 2011. This Samsung Galaxy S2 will be launched at Q1 2011.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Specifications

* 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display
* 1,280 x 720 resolution, 340 pixels per inch
* 2GHz processor
* 1GB of RAM
* 4GB of ROM
* 32GB flash storage
* microSD support
* 8-megapixel camera
* 720p and 1080p full HD video recording
* Wi-Fi b/g/n
* Bluetooth 3.0
* AGPS
* Accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and ambient light sensors
* Android 3.0 Gingerbread.

It’s a slow news day, so lets dabble our feet in the murky rumor waters for a while and take a look at what we’re told is the Samsung Galaxy S2 i9200. The tipped successor to the Galaxy S, and supposedly due in early 2011, according to the talk circulating Russian forum itrans the Galaxy S2 is said to have a whopping 4.3-inch 1,280 x 720 Super AMOLED display with around 340 pixels per inch, certainly intruding into Apple’s Retina Display realm.

Meanwhile there’s also supposedly a 2GHz CPU paired with 1GB of RAM and a 4GB ROM, together with 32GB of flash storage and a microSD card slot. The camera is said to be 8-megapixels capable of not just 720p but 1080p Full HD video recording, and the OS to be Android “Gingerbread” which we’ve heard is expected to drop in Q4 this year. Connectivity includes WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0, while there’s also A-GPS, an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and ambient light sensors.

Now, we’re obviously in skeptic-mode at what’s undoubtedly a bulging spec list. The display and the processor are probably the most unbelievable aspects, though Samsung are tipped to be starting mass production at a new, 5th-gen AMOLED plant in Q1 2011. We’re guessing that the 2GHz processor mentioned would be a new version of Samsung’s own Hummingbird chip, though we’re yet to hear of one running at that speed. All in all, plenty of reason to doubt the rumors, but we can’t help but wish they’d come true.
